The Expedition, by Alex

There once was a man named Bill who wanted to go on an expedition in the Amazon territory because he thought it would be an invaluable experience. He did not linger around the house. No, he trained and this is about his training.

First, he thought it would not be convenient to be inept during a skirmish with natives, so he took mixed martial arts. If he became a captive of the natives he thought, seeing no one would be accompanying him, it might be useful to be able to interpret their language and talk his way out of things. For that reason he took language classes. Now, although the Amazon is no desert expanse, it would be beneficial to know what he could eat. He would need these skills to retrieve food and supplement his energy with it. When he was a master at all three of these skills he was so full of ecstasy that he did not sleep until his first night in the Amazon.
